about ME….

Hi, I’m Juliana Avila, an audio engineer and Recording Technology student at California State University, Dominguez Hills. I graduated from Citrus College with an Associate of Science in Recording Technology, where I developed a strong foundation in audio production and post-production.

My experience includes recording bands, working on collaborative projects with friends and peers, and contributing to post-production projects involving Foley, ADR, and sound effects. I have worked on multiple post-production projects and also enjoy creating my own Foley recordings for fun as a way to experiment with sound design and develop new techniques.

I began experimenting with sound in high school, and since then I’ve explored many different areas of audio production. In addition to studio work, I have experience with live sound for theatre productions and elementary school events, which helped me build strong technical and problem-solving skills in live environments.

Post-production is one of the areas I enjoy the most. I love the creative process of shaping sound and enhancing audio to help tell a story. Being able to refine dialogue, add texture through sound effects, and build immersive soundscapes is something I find both challenging and rewarding.

I’m also passionate about collaboration. I enjoy making connections with other creatives and helping artists achieve their goals by supporting their projects with high-quality sound.

I have experience working with several digital audio workstations and audio tools, including:

  • Logic Pro

  • GarageBand

  • Ableton Live

  • Pro Tools

  • Digital Performer

  • Reaper

  • Splice

Through both personal and collaborative projects, I continue to grow my skills and explore new ways to create impactful sound.
